Melodic Universe with Space for Improvisation. Ebba Dankel is a Swedish pianist, composer, and singer. She currently studies at Berklee College of Music and debuted on the Danish jazz scene last year. Her fine compositions are influenced by the classical jazz tradition, mixed with modern melodic language in a unique expression. This combination creates a new and colorful soundscape unique to the musician. On this afternoon, Ebba performs with Peter Vuust and Mikkel Vuust, creating a melodic universe with space for improvisation.Peter Vuust is a professor at Aarhus University and the Royal Academy of Music, head of the Centre for Music in the Brain, and one of the country's most popular sidemen. He has been featured on more than 100 records and with international jazz stars such as Tim Hagans, Mal Waldron, Ted Curson, Jukkis Uotila, and many more. He is known for his groovy and responsive backing and extremely melodic solos. Peter has also been nominated for a DMA for his CD September Song.Mikkel Vuust  is one of Denmark's most talented young drummers. Despite his young age, he has already played with Jakob Fisher, Uffe Steen, Henrik Gunde, and Sinne Eeg. He is currently studying at the Manhattan School of Music in New York and has just released the album Further To Fly with 5 x Vuust....

Melodisk univers med plads til improvisation. Ebba Dankel er en svensk pianist, komponist og sangerinde. Hun studerer i øjeblikket på Berklee College of Music og debuterede sidste år på den danske jazzscene. Hendes fine kompositioner bærer tydeligt præg af den klassiske jazztradition, som får et unikt udtryk i blandingen med et moderne melodisk sprog. Kombinationen af dette skaber et nyt og farverigt lydbillede, som er helt særligt for musikeren. Ebba spiller denne eftermiddag sammen med Peter Vuust og Mikkel Vuust, hvor de udformer et melodisk univers med plads til improvisation.  Peter Vuust er professor ved Aarhus Universitet og Det jyske Musikkonservatorium, leder af ”Center for Music in the Brain” og er derudover en af landets mest benyttede ”side-men”. Han akkompagnerer Ebbas musik til denne eftermiddagskoncert. I april 2022 udkom Peters syvende album ”Further To Fly”, som er udgivet sammen med familiebandet 5 x Vuust. Peter har desuden været nomineret til en DMA for cd’en September Song. Mikkel Vuust er en af landets mest lovende trommeslagere. Han har til trods for sin unge alder spillet med navne som Jakob Fisher, Uffe Steen, Henrik Gunde og Sinne Eeg. I øjeblikket studerer han på Manhattan School of Music i New York, og udgav i 2022 albummet Further To Fly sammen med 5 x Vuust.
