Kidde's stories", says Jakob Høgsbro, and continues: "Before Rune's untimely death, he and I had a wonderful collaboration for several years, and I have set music to many of Rune's both wild and poetic texts". Høgsbro narrates and plays the saxophone accompanied by the two exuberant musicians Ida Hvid on double bass and Henrik Nielsen on drums. The target audience is children and their parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. Jazzede toner og jazzede ord - Trio Høgsbro møder Rune T. KiddeTrio Høgsbro spiller og fortæller “Ækle Jazzede Eventyr”. Bliv tryllebundet af “De tre bukke fra Brugsen”, “Den Lilla Møghætte”, “Klaskepot” og “Den Dumme Ælling”, der alle bliver spillet og fortalt med humor og stort nærvær. Trioen skaber et dybt livsbekræftende stævnemøde mellem den storsvingende jazz og poesiens vilde, skæve og ligefrem skøre universer!Jazzen har altid været vild og svær at sætte i bås, men når Trio Høgsbro lægger både stemmer, musik og kropslyde til digteren og humoristen Rune T. Kiddes fortællinger, så bliver både musik og tekst født påny. Det lyder bestemt ikke kedeligt, og denne koncert vil smitte enhver med en ubændig livsglæde - som er svær at ryste af sig! “Siden jeg var teenager har jeg været vild med Rune T. Kiddes fortællinger”, fortæller Jakob Høgsbro, og fortsætter: "Før Runes alt for tidlige død havde han og jeg igennem flere år et skønt samarbejde, og jeg har sat musik til mange af Runes både vilde og poetiske tekster”. Høgsbro fortæller og spiller saxofon og med sig har han de to sprudlende musikere Ida Hvid på kontrabas og Henrik Nielsen på trommer. Målgruppen er børn og deres forældre og bedsteforældre og oldeforældre. Efter denne børnekoncert på caféscenen i Musikhuset Aarhus, kan man med fordel fortsætte jazzfestivalens åbningsdag med at følge street parade gennem byens gader - med start fra Musikhusparken kl. 11.
