Jody Shayne Quartet at Swingtime Jazz Society at Albany Rail Yard

Jody Shayne began singing in clubs in Boston, where she attended Berklee College of Music. After spending time on the road, she settled in NYC, where she appeared with many jazz artists, including Archie Shepp, Howard McGee, Jimmy Garrison, Roswell Rudd and Sheila Jordan. In addition to numerous club engagements, she has performed at festivals, including The Crystal City Jazz Festival, Jazz at the Lake, The Hamilton Hill Culturfest Series and A Place for Jazz.

She currently resides in the Capital District, where her schedule includes clubs, concerts, writing and teaching. This is her third year teaching piano lessons at the Hamilton Hill Arts Center, where she is the coordinator of the music program.
