Michael Benedict Jazz Vibes will present a special concert on 11/10/18 at Conkling Hall in historic Rensselaerville, NY at 7:30PM. The admission price is 15.00 and free to children ages 12 and under. The group will consist of Michael Benedict on vibraphone with his long time bass player Mike Lawrence. Joining them will be two special guest artists, Larry Ham on piano and Jeff โSiegeโ Siegel on drums.
Larry Ham began his professional career in the Lionel Hampton Orchestra in the late โ80โs. He was pianist in the Illinois Jacquet Big Band 1990-95 and has worked extensively with countless other jazz legends, including the late Junior Cook and Dakota Staton. He has appeared at jazz festivals, concerts and nightclubs throughout the United States, Europe, West Africa, and Japan. His recent New York appearances include Jazz at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Iridium, The Village Vanguard, Smallโs, The Kitano Hotel, and Harlemโs historic Lenox Lounge....

Jeff โSiegeโ Siegel Drummer/Composer Jeff "Siege" Siegel is a veteran of the New York Jazz Scene and has worked with a virtual"who's who" of artists. A member of the Sir Roland Hanna Trio from 1994-'99, Siegel's diverse career has also led him to perform and/or record with legends such as Ron Carter, Kenny Burrell, Jack DeJohnette, Benny Golson, Frank Foster, Shiela Jordan, Helen Merrill, Mose Allison and many more.
Michael Benedict JAZZ VIBES is an ensemble featuring Michael on vibraphone. The repertoire of the group includes straight ahead jazz standards, Latin-American songs and original material. Jazz Vibes has been one of the leading jazz groups in the Capital Region of New York State for over a decade. Michael has performed and/or recorded with jazz luminaries Gary Smulyan, Harry Allen, Dick Oatts, Steve Nelson, Sharel Cassity, Bruce Barth and Joe Locke. He has toured the United States extensively, performing at numerous concert halls, colleges, clubs and festivals and has performed in Europe. In 2012, Michael was part of a US State Department tour of Tunisia, Africa where he taught and performed with the Planet Arts Trio.
