The Jazz Disturbance

Cheryl K. Symister-Masterson is an independent print and broadcast journalist, involved in both media for over thirty years. In 2007, she moved to New York and four years later, joined WGXC 90.7 FM and began hosting “The Jazz Disturbance,” a two-hour show featuring Jazz and other improvised music. In 2021, she added “Situation Fluxus,” a one-hour program focused on jazz and improvised music, news, radio, conversations and more to her hosting duties. Both shows are now independently produced and posted here at AllAboutJazz as a podcast, at our streaming service “AAJ 24/7”, at my website Jazz/Fluxus (jazzfluxus.com/), at Global Community Radio/G3, and at Mixcloud.
