Cleo Trio- Peggy Stern, Elaine Barber, Alex Coke at Outpost Performance Space

An unusual trio featuring harp, flute, saxophone, and piano, the Cleo Trio is based out of Austin, Texas and is comprised of
tenor saxophonist, flutist and composer Alex Coke; harpist Elaine Barber and
pianist Peggy Stern.
Coke, an improvisor at heart, records and participates in multifarious projects as bandleader and collaborator, splittin his time between Austin and Amsterdam, Netherlands. He was inducted into the Austin Jazz Society Hall of Fame in 2020.
The Principal Harpist of the Austin Symphony, Elaine Barber performs a wide range of chamber music, solos, new music and early music. She plays with Allegro Chamber Trio (classical), Texas Early Music Project (medieval & renaissance), and has worked with artists as diverse as Renee Fleming, Gladys Knight, and Shearwater.  ...

Peggy Stern has worked and toured with Lee Konitz, Diane Schuur, David “Fathead” Newman, Jay Clayton, Gary Peacock. A classically trained musician, she also plays salsa, Brazilian, western swing, and progressive jazz.
