Fufaka at The Roost Creative Music Series at Outpost Performance Space

FUFAKA is the recently formed duo of Matt Norman on piano and Al Faaet on drums and percussion, which plays improvised music of a highly ordered and compositional nature, invested with energy and spirit.
Al Faaet moved to New Mexico in 1984 from the Philadelphia/Trenton area where he was the founder of the SPIRITUAL ENERGY COLLECTIVE. After moving to NM, Al co-founded THE DRUM IS THE VOICE OF THE TREES series of drum/percussion concerts at the Greer Garson Theater and Lensic Theater.
Matt Norman moved to NM in 2011 from Seattle where he has performed at Ear Shot Jazz Festival and Seattle Improvised Music Fest, as well as composing for small independent films and theater performance....
