About
Humoso is a band whose music is jazz, but, as they describe it, "it's jazz with flavor." Their repertoire ranges from covers of popular tunes of today as well as days past, to original compositions of instrumental and singer-songwriter genres. They comprise four of the most active and creative young jazz artists and educators on the ABQ jazz scene: John Maestas, guitar; Aaron Lovato, saxophone; Asher Barreras, bass; and Enrique Chavez, from Puerto Rico, on drums.
Humoso's debut CD will be released in the spring of 2011 on Najulda Records, a new independent label whose mission is to provide an alternative outlet for emerging, inventive artists.
