About
Led by saxophonist/composer Rich Halley, this group is dedicated to exploring new musical approaches in compositional group improvisation using the roots of American and world music as sources. Michael Vlatkovich is an extraordinary improvising trombonist and Clyde Reed and Carson Halley are an intuitive and elastic rhythm section. These four have been working together in different combinations for over ten years. The group's first CD on Pine Eagle Records was titled Requiem for a Pit Viper. Their new CD Back from Beyond has just been released.
