Duke Ellington – his music is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for musicians of all styles and generations. That same goes for All Ellington, a tentet founded in 2012 by Eric Boeren. Musicians from the flourishing Amsterdam impro scene tackle Ellington arrangements from the pen of Michael Moore. Respect for the original goes hand in hand with individuality and inventiveness. Besides big hits like Mood Indigo and Sophisticated Lady, the ensemble also shines its light on lesser-known pieces such as Boy Meets Horn, African Flower and Jack the Bear.
