' But what about that desert? It came as a pleasant surprise during the second set, in the form of a sluggish rocking groove as we know it from the desert blues of Ali Farka Touré. Whoever used it could not be traced afterwards. All of a sudden it was there, forming a staggered bed for a staggered dialogue in which guitar and ngoni gracefully surrounded each other.
