Singer Moyséis Marques started his career in the bars of the bohemian Lapa neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro, accompanying himself on acoustic guitar. Now he’s a big name in the samba genre. At the Bimhuis he will play a concert in three parts. Part one features his own repertory and in the second part he will interpret songs from the iconic Ópera do Malandro by Chico Buarque, a musical about the Lapa neighborhood in the 1940s.
