Tiltan has been compared by critics to broad-minded ensembles such as Tin Hat and John Zorn’s Masada.

Tiltan has a remarkable lineup featuring, alongside Golek, the Dutch violist and Boy Edgar Prize winner Oene van Geel, the Argentinean clarinet player Natalio Sued and the classically trained Oleg Fateev on bayan, the Russian accordion.
