For 10 years Clazz Music has been crossing boundaries: musicians from jazz and contemporary music join forces in a top line-up, with international special guests.

The 12-piece Clazz Ensemble is a ‘small big band’ that brings together top musicians from jazz and contemporary classical music fields. In 10 years they have built an impressive repertory that crosses boundaries between jazz, classical music and other genres. This spectacular anniversary concert combines reprises with new music, played by established formations, surprising entr’actes and international special guests.

The evening begins with a set by the new trio Wild Man Conspiracy, featuring members of the Clazz Ensemble. Special guest is New York tenor sax player Chris Cheek, renowned for his work with Paul Motian and Brian Blade, among others. He will join the Clazz Ensemble, which will perform in a top line-up with a fantastic set, a selection from the 100+ compositions written especially for the band. The interludes will feature writer Abdelkader Benali, saxophone quartet Dicke Luft and Clazz XS.
