A two-part concert in which Brazilian music, nature and poetry are highlighted.
The first part is the presentation of the new album Bleeding Amazonia, a new 8-part suite by conductor, composer, arranger Joan Reinders for the Millennium Jazz Orchestra based on a selection of poems by the Brazilian poet and environmentalist Thiago de Mello. Central theme of the suite is the loss of the Amazon rainforest. Featured artist is Brazilian singer Lílian Vieira.
