One musician, three instruments: voice, guitar & oop-station. Did Ed Sheeran copy Neco Novellas or vice versa? Though Nico may be slightly less renowned he is even more captivating. Ever since he landed in the Rotterdam Conservatory by way of Lisbon, Neco has developed an innovative sound in which jazz and pop blend with the chopi music of his native Mozambique. Today Neco is a charismatic soloist who constantly takes on new challenges. Such as with the brilliant cellist Ernst Reijseger who just as quirkily combines African traditions with European impro.
