American jazz and classical trumpeter André Canniere is becoming one of the most prolific and original trumpeter-composers of his generation. After receiving his degree from The Eastman School of Music, André moved to New York where he spent five years building the profile of his own group and collaborating with artists such as Maria Schneider, Bjorkestra, Donny McCaslin and Darcy James Argue. <br><br>

He has appeared on stage at Carnegie Hall, Birdland, Symphony Space and The Jazz Gallery and has toured widely throughout the United States and Europe, including performances at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Hague Jazz Festival, Riverfront Jazz Festival, BimHuis in Amsterdam and the Rochester International Jazz Festival. <br><br>

His first solo recording was released in 2006 on Omatic Records and he has appeared on numerous recordings as a session musician. In 2008, he moved to London where his reputation has led him to work with artists including Lizzy Parks, Nostalgia 77, Ivo Neame, Dekata Project and Today Is Boring at venues such as Blackheath Concert Halls, Ronnie Scott’s, The Vortex, Pizza Express and The 606 Club. <br><br>

LOCATION<br><br>

Jazz on The Bello is held upstairs in the Lounge at The Metropolitan Pub. Come and settle in for the afternoon by the open fire with a glass of wine. Or two. The pub is right next door to Westbourne Park tube station and buses 31, 28 and 328 bring you right to our door. There's also loads of free parking, so feel free to rumble up in style.<br><br>

TIMINGS<br><br>

Music begins 1.30pm. There will be two 45 minute sets with a short break in between. Table bookings are taken from 12.30pm onwards.<br><br>
