About
Joonas Haavisto began his musical studies at the age of seven playing classical double bass and started playing the piano at the age of sixteen. From 2002 he studied in Stockholm, Helsinki, Miami and completed his Master of Music degree at Helsinki’s Sibelius- Academy in 2011. The Joonas Haavisto Trio released their debut album Blue Waters in October 2009 and with Joonas’ strong compositions and formidable technique they look set to join the ranks of first-class European piano trios.
