After the success of his gig last September (featuring the music of Wayne Shorter), Nottingham-born bass player Mark Lewandowski brings another band up to the Bonington to give their spin on the work of the High Priest of jazz - the great Thelonious Monk. Currently working in London, he has assembled a new group of the best young musicians, including the latest piano sensation, Sam Leak, to explore Monk’s catalogue, producing contemporary arrangements and original inputs from all musicians.
