Alberto Nacif & Aguankò at Kerrytown Concert House

Conguero and composer Alberto Nacif brings together a group of superlative musicians to perform his original music, and Latin-Jazz standards. Alberto, Jose “Pepe” Espinosa (one of the best Cuban percussionists of his generation), and guest pianist Rick Roe form the Latin core of the group this evening. Also featured are top-notch Detroit-area musicians Pat Prouty (Bass), Russell Miller (Sax and Flute), Paul Finkbeiner (Trumpet) and Chris Smith (Trombone). These tasteful musicians’ interpretation of this music is evocative and sensuous, and true to its Cuban roots. They will perform new music from their upcoming CD "Invisible" which will be out at year's end....
