"Creative improvising pianist and composer Josh Harlow is coming back to Michigan to join multi-woodwind improviser Peter Formanek for a series of duo performances this February. Harlow and Formanek have been playing and performing together in a duo setting for a few years now, and are happy to be presenting some new arrangements of the music of great american composers such as Charles Mingus, Thelonious Monk, Ornette Coleman, and Duke Ellington, as well as original compositions and directed improvisational pieces in the vein of those of composers such as Pauline Oliveros and John Cage."
