Neal Anderson is a trumpeter, improviser, and composer based in Detroit, MI. Neal actively performs as both band leader and member across southeast Michigan, often blending combinations of jazz, funk, Balkan, and avant-garde styles to create exciting, energetic, and inevitably engaging music.
Parallel Fifths, Anderson’s debut album, marks a bold foray into modern Jazz via an eight track exploration that pays melodic homage to Lee Morgan and Roy Hargrove while establishing a wistful, sometimes playful, but always thoughtfully distinctive voice of his own.
