About
Patrick Prouty is a veteran bassist and composer from Detroit, who came up under the mentorship of local legends Johnny Bassett and Bill Heid. Prouty has toured internationally in the bands of soul songstress Bettye Lavette and Al Hill & the Love Butlers, and is now on faculty at the University of Michigan Flint. He has released three records of original music on his own label Leedle Music, and a number of his compositions have been featured in nationally syndicated television shows. For this performance, Prouty will be joined by vibes player Cary Kocher, pianist Phil Kelly and drummer Bill Higgins.
