About
24-year-old tenor saxophone wizard Jack Brandfield leads his jazz quartet featuring pianist Rick Roe, drummer Jeff Shoup and string bassist Paul Keller. Jack Brandfield, from NYC, is the protege of saxophonist Harry Allen; he's also the student of Rodney Whitaker and Randy Napoleon at MSU. The Jack Brandfield Quartet will performs two big sets of swinging, straight-ahead jazz with a tip of the hat to Stan Getz, Lester Young, Thelonious Monk, Cole Porter and Richard Rodgers.
