Piano-O-Rooney is an extraordinary jazz event that turns the spotlight on five of Southeast Michigan's finest pianists:

This is a benefit concert to raise the remaining funds to restore and rehabilitate the wonderful Yamaha C-6 grand piano that is owned by the jazz musicians, lives at Zal Gaz Grotto, and is loved and appreciated by the jazz community.

Over the past year, the musicians, through the generosity of their loyal fans, have raised almost $8,500 toward their $11,000 goal.

Admission to this event is free; however we hope that each attendee will contribute a substantial amount toward the Piano Restoration Fund.

We hope to raise even more than our goal! If we do that, we shall put even more funds into restoring the piano further, we'll buy and have installed a piano humidity control damp chaser device, and we will save anything we can for piano tuning and regular maintenance.
