Jazz @ The Elks happens on the last Tuesday of the month from 7 pm to 9:30 pm. There is a $10 donation at the door which includes hors d’oeuvres. Enjoy jazz in a listening room setting close to the entertainers. On Tuesday, October 30th, The Elks is proud to bring RB3 & SHE to our stage. Who is RB3 & SHE? The venerable Ron Brooks from the former Bird of Paradise Jazz Club is resurrecting an almost all girl band with a wide range of talents and skills to bring us some of the best jazz sounds around. We will hear Ron Brooks on bass, Ingrid Racine who plays regularly in Ann Arbor on trumpet, Ellen Rowe who is head of the UM Jazz program on keyboard, Janell Reichman who is outstanding on saxophone, and Karen Tomalis who has played drums with a lot of jazz greats around Detroit.
