George Davdison Benefit from noon to 4 p.m. at the Grotto!

When the great drummer and jazz master George Davidson began having health issues this past summer, a collection of local musicians and supporters jumped on the bandwagon to stage a benefit concert at Cliff Bells in Detroit. Musicians came in droves to pay tribute to this jazz icon in a kick-butt jam session that raised money to help defray the costs of his growing medical expenses.

While scores of musicians from the jazz community participated in the first fundraiser, Davidson's medical expenses during his recovery and rehabilitation have continued to mount and many of his devotees want a chance to donate their time and talent for another fundraiser.
