This performance will feature several solo pieces, including improvisations on pieces written by George Russell, Billy Strayhorn, Steve Swallow, and others. Matt will then be joined by bassist Jordan Schug and drummer Nick Collins for several pieces for jazz trio. To conclude the evening, Matt will perform Julius Hemphill's One Atmosphere, written for piano and string quartet.
