Max Hatt / Edda Glass features an evocative voice, ethereal guitar, and original folk-jazz compositions. “We want to write about a world both intimate and vast, about little people on great plains,” says Glass. “Plus sometimes we like to throw in a little Bossa Nova.”
In 2014 Max Hatt / Edda Glass played at Lincoln Center, NYC, won grand-prize at the Mountain Stage / NewSong Contest and generally defied categorization. 2015 sees them play coast to coast from Seattle to NYC, including Sundance Film Festival’s ASCAP Music Cafe, a headlining concert at Lincoln Center, and opening sets for Dweezil Zappa, Romero Lubambo, and Autumn Defense. In 2016 they will appear on NPR Mountain Stage, and NewSong Recordings will release their new album this spring, produced by Pat Sansone of Wilco & Autumn Defense, and recorded at Echo Mountain Studios in Asheville, NC. Chances are you've never heard anything like Cory Pesaturo in your life. At age 15, he became the youngest person to win the National Accordion Championships. World championships and White House appearances were soon to follow. A pioneer on Roland's digital V-Accordion, Pesaturo is a veritable one man band, and wows with his command of pop music, tango, Italian and French folk, Bulgarian and Jewish music, and jazz. Come hear why he has has been hailed as the one young man capable of making the accordion "cool" again.
