International Award Winning Spoken Word Artist - Comedian - Alternative Rock Singer - Runner & Bow-tie maker: Queen Sheba has hosted the best Poetry & Spoken Word open mic in Atlanta for going on 8 years!

Sheba has a way of making new comers feel welcome and Sheba's cult-like following/family and the veterans feel like the rock stars they are trying to be!

This is event IS for new-to-poetry lovers, first timers and nationally touring poets.

Every month Queen Sheba highlights a featured poet/singer to bring diversity and range to the microphone. Not only will the featured poet rock the set right at prime time but is also required to conduct an hour workshop at the beginning of each show. This helps budding poets get feedback on their poems and talk to the experts about how to make it as touring Spoken Word artist. Workshop usually holds about 20-30 people.

In addition to being a warm hearted hosted making people laugh and learn at the same time, she creates writing workshops to give novice writers the opportunity to learn from the greats and ask questions you normally wouldn't have time for during a regular open mic.
