Ben McNicoll teaches beginner, intermediate and advanced saxophone technique, jazz and pop improvisation, and music theory in Auckland, New Zealand, to children and adults.
Ben plays soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxes across a number of groups and genres, including: Auckland Jazz Orchestra, Ijebu Pleasure Club (afrobeat), Ozi Ozaa (Ghanaian highlife), and jazz groups from duo to sextet.
Performing since the age of 15, he has recorded with Auckland Jazz Orchestra, The Hot Grits (southern funk), Home Brew (hip-hop NZ platinum album), Avantdale Bowling Club, and jazz groups Spammerz and Gahu.
