George Jazz

My vision for George Jazz is for it to be the most listened to Jazz Radio station on the internet! Why would it be anything less? For jazz to thrive it needs to appeal to the widest audience possible and that means making it accessible and fun to listen to. It needs to lose the image we mentioned before of “nerdy” and “old peoples music” and this can only be done by ensuring that the funkier elements of jazz are included as well as the Coltrane, Miles and Gillespie tunes. I would like to make the programming schedule open to young NZ jazz musicians who have new things to say about jazz — here's an open invitation, please get in touch.
