Colin Hancock at Ben Hur Shrine Temple

Colin Hancock will lead the Joymakers for the Austin Traditional Jazz Society on Sunday, March 17 from 2 to 5 pm at Ben Hur Shrine Temple, 7811 Rockwood Lane, Austin.  Colin Hancock, a talented jazz musician on a number of instruments, is also a noted jazz historian.  He was recently nominated for a Grammy Award, and is a recent recipient of the Independent Initiatives Award from the Association for Recorded Sound Collections.
 
The Joymakers specialize in the music of college jazz bands of the 1920s.  This should be a fun afternoon of jazz played by experts.

Memberships for the remainder of the ATJS season are available by mail, through the Society website at www.atjs.org, or at the door. Online memberships can be paid through PayPal. Mail-ins and in-person applications can be paid by cash or check. Guests can enter for $12 and college students with ID and members of the Austin Jazz Society are $5.
