This is the Elephant Room’s 26th Anniversary. The club opened in 1991.
The first musical act was TOMAS RAMIREZ on Thursday, 1/24/91.
ALEX COKE played on Friday, 1/25/91.
On Saturday, the owner had already booked an act…Doster & Elskes (guitar & spoons)
JAMES POLK TRIO play Sunday night.
James also played the first JAM on Monday.
Tony Campise played on the first Tuesday….the rest is history.
The band will be:
Dr. James Polk, piano (played the first Sunday & then Monday JAM)
Sam Pankey, bass
Scott Laningham, drums
Tomas Ramirez, sax (played 1st ever gig at the Elephant Room)...
