Mente Clara at Esquina Tango

Celebrate the release of Mente Clara's debut record, Wanderlust, at Esquina Tango Austin! The band spent two days in the studio during January. Wanderlust is the result. The album features original compositions, as well as music by Hermeto Pascoal, and even a twist on a forró standard. The album will be officially released on May 6, but there will be copies for sale at that show.

The first will feature Mente Clara's usual repertoire of Brazilian jazz. After a short break, Bruno Vinezof will then lead the band in a set of traditional forró tunes, for your dancing pleasure.

The band will feature Daniel Durham on bass, Jan Flemming on accordion, Jonathan McNutt on woodwinds, Aaron Parks on drum set, Stephen Smith on piano, Owen Summers on piano & saxophone, and Bruno Vinezof on vocals & percussion....
