Established in 2002. Austin Winds was born from a need and desire for a jazz/commercial trumpet that previously didn't exist. Our mission included providing hand-built quality and attention to detail at factory pricing. Established in 2002. Austin Winds was born from a need and desire for a jazz/commercial trumpet that previously didn't exist. Our mission included providing hand-built quality and attention to detail at factory pricing. After initial modifications of current designs, we developed our first prototype that eventually evolved into our Stage 470LT brushed bronze bell. Our initial jazz trumpet model has now grown into over a dozen models offering different sounds for a number of applications and our line has grown to include versatile two-piece mouthpieces with hundreds of combinations. An Austin Winds trumpet is not your typical trumpet. And we prefer it that way.
