Guitarist/Producer Willie Oteri has been part of Austin's music scene since the late '90s, performing frequently with Jazz Gunn (album Concepts Of originally recorded with Brannen Temple and Chris Maresh) until 2003. Willie later moved to Italy and returned to Austin in 2007. Interested in further pursuits of real-time/spontaneous composition, Willie formed WD-41 with trumpeter Dave Laczko in 2008. The band’s second album received the Editor #3 pick in Guitar Player magazine, with reviewer Barry Cleveland observing, “You’ll be hallucinating by the time its over, whether or not you were when it began.” Among others, Willie has recorded and performed with Scott Amendola (Charlie Hunter) Dino J.A. Deane (John Zorn, Jon Hassel) Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel, King Crimson), Pat Mastelotto (King Crimson, XTC) and Mike Keneally (Frank Zappa) and has toured Europe extensively in the last several years. Trumpeter Dave Laczko has been part of the Austin jazz seen for many years. He is a former member of the Barons of Rhythm, and was the Jazz radio DJ for the eclectic program Cookin' and Relaxin' at KAZI for 14 years. Touring Germany and Italy these last few years, he is known for his electric trumpet playing and extensive use of effects with both WD-41 and German fusion band Shrunken Head Shop.

Upcoming local jazz fusion band Brazilian Space Program play very much in the vain of Bitches Brew era Miles Davis. Tiago da Silva on guitar and effects, Charlie Russell on Rhodes piano and piano bass, and Jared Marshall on drums.

Pet Cat Man is the semi-improvisational world of synth player & programmer Ricardo Acevedo, percussionist Steve Mankenberg, and guitarist Christopher Petkus.
