Formed in 1990, the JOHN MONTESANTE QUINTET (or JMQ) is a stylish, horn-led modern Jazz combo, with a penchant for bebop, modern trumpet and wide-ranging jazz standards. The regular line up is: John Montesante, Michael Harding, Dean Cooper, Ben Robertson, Tony Hicks or other special guest saxophonists. The band has reached an amazing 11 years of weekly residency at The Commune Cafe Bar on the city's edge.

This evening the band celebrates, featuring the classy vocals of EMMA FRANZ . This cat-eyed Northern Italian temptress may be svelte to look at, but she's no lightweight in the performance stakes.
