Ancestral Duo is the collaboration of multi-­instrumentalists Jamal Moore and Luke Stewart. The two channel the spirit of Ancestry through structured improvisation in unique electro­acoustic meditations that aim to reach deep within one's soul and offer a connection to the past, using the power of the present, looking toward the future.

JD Parran is a woodwind and multi-instrumentalist from the creative scene out of New York. In his hometown of St Louis, J D Parran was a founding member of the Black Artist Group (BAG) where he participated in the early artistic statements of Julius Hemphill, Oliver Lake, James Jabbo Ware, Hamiet Bluiett and Baikida Carroll. J D has made many appearances at New York’s Vision Festival, the AACM series and the Interpretations series. He has performed with Edward Kidd Jordan, Reggie Workman, Bill Dixon, Cecil Taylor, Amiri Baraka, Joseph Jarman, Leroy Jenkins, George Lewis, Henry Threadgill, Wadada Leo Smith and Douglas Ewart. His recordings including You Have the Right to Remain Silent, Concerto for Clarinet by Anthony Davis, Andrew’s Hill’s Beautiful Day and Marty Ehrlich’s Trumpet in the Morning have garnered him critical acclaim as a soloist. His most recent release is Window Spirits Solo. Parran is currently performing with his new revolving ensemble, Harlem Reunion as well as recording with Deep Ecology Trio, Jason Robinson, Scott Robinson, Adam Rudolph’s Go Organic Orchestra and Thurman Barker.
