The late Ethel Ennis was Baltimores own First Lady of Jazz, a singer with a luminous voice and the creator of an inspiring career based in her hometown. This multi-generational birthday celebration brings to life some of her signature songs and extends her legacy, with performances by acclaimed vocalist Charene Wade and the Peabody Jazz Ensemble, and special guests Baltimore-native & legendary pianist Cyrus Chestnut, vocalist & dancer Brinae Ali, and the Baltimore School for the Arts Jazz Ensemble. The evening will also present Earl Arnetts memoir, A Jazz Romance, about his life with Ethel for over 50 years.
