The Dogs of Jazz blend a passion for experimentation and improvisation in equal measure with a love of melody and form, all with the sparse but driving sound of two horns alone with drums and bass. With influences ranging from Ben Webster to John Coltrane, from Charlie Mingus to Sun Ra, the DOJ serves up a repertoire of familiar tunes from across the jazz spectrum, along with a host of original tunes.
