Authentic and compelling Brazilian rhythms are fused with contemporary jazz in a riveting performance featuring Brazilian virtuosos Rogerio Sousa on guitar and Leonardo Lucini on bass, accompanied by saxophonist Andrew Connell, an ethnomusicologist specializing in Brazilian folk music. The program includes unique arrangements of well-known jazz and Brazilian standards in a variety of styles such as Bossa Nova, Samba, Choro and Baiao, as well as original compositions.
