The Butler Parks Hot Serenaders are back for their second performance at Germano's, this time featuring the talents of trumpeter Joe Herrera and guest vocalist Katie Hosier. Along with a line-up of usual jazz standards and a few original arrangements, the evening's program will include a short tribute to the great clarinetist Artie Shaw, whose small ensemble, the Gramercy Five, redefined instrumental jazz and paved the way for the eventual coming of bebop. The ensemble is comprised of Dan Parshall (saxophone), Alex Abdoulaev (piano), Jake Robbins-Spevack (guitar), and Lindsay Kelly (vocals) and features the instrumental talents of Anders Eliasson on drums, Ethan Philion on bass, and Joseph Brothertonon on trumpet.
