At last Baltimore music fans can share in his cutting edge world music concerts! An important member of the DC jazz scene, he is an attorney by day as well as a music writer. His musical collective, The Fourth Stream, completed its first self-titled album earlier this year.

Since 2008 The Fourth Stream, with its core collaborators and special guests, has kept a consistent aesthetic playing music that incorporates many world music, jazz and other influences while keeping a strong commitment to melody, improvisation, and accessibility. The Fourth Stream

Drummer Sriram Gopal has called Washington, D.C. home for the past decade and has made many contributions to the music scene. At last Baltimore music fans can share in his cutting edge world music concerts! An important member of the DC jazz scene, he is an attorney by day as well as a music writer. His musical collective, The Fourth Stream, completed its first self-titled album earlier this year.

Since 2008 The Fourth Stream, with its core collaborators and special guests, has kept a consistent aesthetic playing music that incorporates many world music, jazz and other influences while keeping a strong commitment to melody, improvisation, and accessibility. Past guests have ranged from D.C.’s finest hip ­hop artists and jazzers, to poets, to Indian classical musicians.

Gopal has performed throughout the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. metro area since the mid­ 1990s, with shows at major arts festivals in Baltimore and D.C., the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage, the Mansion at Strathmore, Blues Alley, Twins Jazz, Bohemian Caverns, Atlas and the Bossa Bistro.

Sriram is also active in other aspects of the D.C. arts community. He taught drum set as a volunteer instructor at the Sitar Arts Center from 2008 -2009.He was an organizer for Subcontinental Drift­­, a District­ based, South Asian community arts organization­­from 2007- 2014 and is the music editor at DCist.com, having been a key writer there and with Capital Bop.

The band will feature drummer Sriram Gopal, guitarist and Bossa Bistro club owner Rob Coltun, bassist Kevin Pace, saxophonist Bobby Muncy,and Geoff Rohrbach on keys.
