William Parker and Eri Yamamoto have built a strong rapport through many years of performing and recording together. They have appeared together on six CDs, and Eri has toured with William’s Trio and his “Raining on the Moon” band.

Eri Yamamoto has been on the New York Jazz scene for twenty years, and she has released ten albums of original music as a leader. Her trio has performed for seventeen years at New York’s Arthur’s Tavern, and they have toured Japan, Australia, UK, Germany, and several cities throughout the Untied States.

William Parker is a native New Yorker, and his jazz career spans forty years. He has composed for many different bands and has recorded extensively as a leader and sideman. He is a prolific composer, and has mentored many young musicians.

Though Eri and William have recently played together in trio and larger ensembles, this is their first time playing duo in several years. This special performance will feature their own compositions.
