Baltimore Jazz Alliance

BJA is an advocacy group for jazz in and around Baltimore, Maryland. Missons: develop new audiences; strengthen communication within the jazz community; strengthen media relations on behalf of the jazz community; bring greater visibility to a wide array of jazz offerings; provide greater access to performance opportunities. Our web site includes a calendar of live jazz in & around Baltimore. Among our accomplishments: monthly newsletter; 2 compilation CDs: Baltimore Jazzscapes and Baltimore Jazzscapes II; published The Baltimore Real Book (54 compositions by 18 composer); our own big band; Jazz for Kids program.
