The Charles Street Winding Boys at Union Square Park

"The Charles Street Winding Boys are a hidden gem of Baltimore City, and they are only around for half of the year... Band leader and trumpet player Zach Serlet spends half his year in New Orleans playing in the clubs on Frenchmen Street and with the Brass Bands during Mardi Gras. When he returns to Baltimore for the summer, he teams up with the premier early jazz musicians in the area to create an eclectic, fun, and folky style of Jazz not often heard outside of the magic dust covered streets of the French Quarter.

Joining Zach for this performance is the world renowned Django Reinhardt style guitar player Sami Arefin, budding young jazz vocalist Christie MacDonald, the ever so fascinating Tomas Drgon on stand up bass, and fortunately for us, two members of the Peabody Ragtime Ensemble...
