In celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month, Contemporary Arts, Inc., presents The Charles Rahmat Woods Quartet.

A consummate flautist and saxophonist, Charles has performed with Roy Haynes, Helen Humes, Don Cherry, Tarika Blue, Conjunto Peligro, Odean Pope’s Saxophone Choir, and Eva Cassidy, in New York, Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia Areas.

Inspired by John Coltrane, Thelonius Monk, Don Cherry, Jim Pepper and Grover Washington, the quartet, grounded in Jazz and Blues, will perform music from Charles’s “Language of Birds” CD visiting a broad spectrum of genres from Swing to Latin to New Age....
