V Polish Cultural Week Opening Night Concert

Pawel Kaczmarczyk - one of Poland's pre-eminent jazz pianists from the younger generation, composer, soloist and sideman performs with the Janusz Muniak Quartet, G.Piotrowski, New Bone, the Rafal Sarnecki Group and Piotr Baron Quintet as well as leading his own AUDIOFEELING Band.

The magazine "Jazz Forum" conducts a yearly readers' poll known as "Jazz Top 2009" awards, which is a ranki...ng of Poland's jazz musicians and, in a sense, an overview of the country's jazz scene. Earlier this year, the poll results for 2009 were published and Album of The Year got Paweł Kaczmarczyk Audiofeeling Band with “Complexity in Simplicity” record (Kaczmarczyk is the first polish musician who recorded his own CD for ACT Company). What seems most significant is Paweł Kaczmarczyk’s victory as a Pianist of The Year breaking many years’ rule of Leszek Możdżer in this speciality. Paweł placed highly in the Musician of The Year and Composer of The Year category (2nd, behind Tomasz Stańko), and his band took second place as an Acoustic Band (behind Marcin Wasilewski Trio). It is worth mentioning that Paweł Kaczmarczyk is the winner of the Kulturalne Odloty of Gazeta Wyborcza Award as the Artist of the Year and is currently nominated for the following prestigious awards - Grand Prix Jazz Melomani – OSKARY JAZZOWE 2009 as Artist of the Year and for the FRYDERYK 2010 Award as Jazz Musician of the Year....
