One of the most sought after saxophonists in the Jazz world today, Chris Cheek (Sax) has played in the the groups of legends such as Paul Motian, Charlie Haden, Steve Swallow and Bill Frisell.

When he’s not touring with Espernaza Spalding, Leo Genovese (Keyboard) also plays with a loosely assembled group called the Chromatic Gauchos.

Matt Pavolka (Bass) has been a vital force in the New York Jazz and Creative Music scenes. He has performed with Lee Konitz, Paul Motian, J. Geils, Tony Malaby and Bill McHenry, among others.

Born in Santiago, Rodrigo Recabarren (Drums) was recognized as the leader of a generation of Jazz performers in Chile. In New York City Rodrigo has performed, worked and/or recorded with Kenny Barron, and Kenny Werner among many others.

Argentine pianist and composer, Guillermo Klein (Piano) formed an inventive 17-piece big band, that played Sunday nights at Smalls NYC throughout 1995. The Jazz Standard presented the Guillermo Klein Big Band regularly. His band, Los Guachos, made several appearances at the Village Vanguard, which featured Bill McHenry, Chris Cheek, Ben Monder, among others., and released their recording Los Gauchos V in 2016.
